Advancing Closed-Loop Systems to Empower Diabetes Patients
Diabetes is one of the most widespread chronic conditions in the world, requiring patients to continuously monitor their glucose levels and inject insulin to maintain balance. Managing this condition day-to-day can be stressful and time-consuming. To reduce the burden, closed-loop systems automate this process and improve the quality of life for patients.

Loop V2.0
The Loop App builds upon the open-source system originally built by software developer Nate Loud.
DEVICES
The glucose sensor and the insulin pump are linked to the app and controlled from there.
GLUCOSE SENSOR
A glucose sensor continuously measures the user's blood sugar levels and transmits the data in real time to the Loop app.
TEMPORARILY OVERRIDE
Users can temporarily override their target glucose values to accommodate specific activities.
SECURITY IMPROVEMENTS
Health-related input is now protected by a two-step verification: a long press on the security button, followed by Face ID authentication.
